The Situation
It was 10 days before the year-end holiday break. Just a month earlier, a long-time client, a leading global commercial real-estate developer, notified us they’d be working with a “full-service production company” for their annual sales meeting and would not be needing our services. “They cost less, will handle all the details & logistics, and can even manage presentation development.” Fast-forward to their urgent email: “I think we made a big mistake. They just don’t get it. The creative is amateurish, and they obviously low-balled the scope. We need you now! Help!!”
The Plan
Take advantage of the holiday break to develop a meeting theme, logo, and presentation template. On January 2, kick-off slide development and formatting. Allocate a dedicated team of artists to create ~200 main stage-worthy slides for 10+ presenters and ~75 workshop slides within two weeks for legal review. Execute edits and be stage-ready by month’s end. Ready… set… GO!!!
The Results
It’s 8am on February 1 at The Disney Grand Floridian Resort, the curtain is up, and more than 1,000 sales, operations, and technical staff are in the audience to kick off the new sales year. The four-day event goes off without a hitch and by all accounts, “it’s the best meeting ever!”
